A while back I got a wild hair to change up our dining room. Big surprise huh;) I know…I know, I’m always changing things up, but with the holidays in our future (I said future…not like tomorrow….but they ARE coming and I’m super excited!!), I decided I really wanted a “wow” factor in our dining space. I decided I wanted to refinish our table, add new chairs, and simplify the wall decor, but FIRST I was in need of a new rug: a new gorgeous foundation.

For a couple of years we did have a rug in this space…but it had not held up well, it was easily stained and it was the wrong weave to have under a table that frequently has spaghetti plopped on it. Then we went a year or so without a rug, I liked the simplicity of the look, but was now craving COLOR!

The above is how our dining room looked during the last holiday season….lots of changes since then! I’ve painted the piano, changed up the end chairs, and now we have a new light fixture. But see? No rug! I decided it was time for a big change! The “wow” factor!

I saw a friend’s rug shared on her feed via Instagram and it was bright, bold and beautiful and was exactly the look I was hoping for. I saw it was from http://esalerugs.com/ so I headed to their website and started dreaming.

eSaleRugs has so many gorgeous, bright rugs to choose from, and seriously their prices are incredibly low for all the beautiful styles they have to choose from. They also offer free shipping AND free returns, with incredible customer service.

I knew I wanted a blue one. And I love how you can peruse their site by searching within exactly the color you’re looking for. You can also search by the precise size you need as well.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this one though!

The blue was so vibrant and pretty!

I knew it was the one! I ordered 6′ by 9′ which with my 7′ table would allow just the right amount of over hang for the chairs without being too huge for the space.

The rug arrived quickly and I couldn’t wait to unroll it and put it in place!

It is super soft, but the weave is tight enough to hold up to the constant buffet of food dropped on it during dinner!

Best of all it’s the exact “wow” factor I was wanting!

I’m thinking during Fall adding some more neutrals and some pops of orange will be the perfect contrast for the season. Then at Christmas I’ll add bright accents of green and it’ll go perfectly for the shiny, brightness of the Christmas season, I can hardly wait!

I love how the morning light looks shining in on it. I’m in love with it!

Thank you for following along with my new rug obsession. While this is a sponsored post all the views and experiences are my very own. I loved working with eSaleRugs!

It was Grace’s birthday Thursday and it held up beautifully to the cake crumbs and ice cream dropped in it, everyone loves it, even Adam! (He came home and said “wow!”).

I love you table! And the light above the table! Do you have a blog on how you re-purposed the table? Do you have a link for the light! Love it! Beautiful.

Hi!! Thank you!! I don’t have a post up about the table….although I can tell you I used Citrus Strip, many coats of it. And my neighbor’s palm sander! And elbow grease! And then I used a white wax to seal it!! That white wax is the best because it keeps the line from looking orange again!! Thank you for your compliment!
