I finally added some new touches to our living room and found the perfect chair to complete our new look in our most used and loved room!
I don’t know if you guys are like me…I always have a mental to-do list in my mind. Working on projects around the house, changing things around, and doing DIY projects are all ways that I use my creativity and my house as an outlet for my artistic background. Our living room was a place that I had been looking forward to making a few changes in. It gets a lot of natural light but there was a corner of the room that I was really hoping to lighten up a bit with a new piece of furniture.
I had tried two different farmhouse style chairs that I had refurbished from my favorite thrift store. I recently sold them via Craigslist and was already for something new. Both of them were kind of dark and blah.
I was on the hunt for something unique and lighter.
I have recently discovered a store called ATG Stores. I found their website really easy to peruse. I purchased some farmhouse style pulls that we used on the island we had made out of an old dresser. That story and blog post will be shared soon!! (Seriously!). I had had a couple questions and I found the customer service to be very friendly and available.
So I spent a couple days and I daydreamed and looked at ATG Store’s gorgeous accent chairs via their website. They have such a broad selection and all sorts of styles. I didn’t really know what I was specifically looking for but I really kind a wanted something unique and bit lighter than my previous choices. My heart skipped a beat when I saw this photo of this cowhide accent chair! Squeal!!
Sometime you don’t know what you’re looking for until you actually see it. It was love at first sight!
I ordered it and it arrived quickly, was well packaged and very easy to assemble. I assembled it myself in less than 20 minutes.
I was smitten with the faux cowhide and the leather look material used on the back and sides that are all held together with rustic looking tacks. So cute!!
The chair is very sturdy as well. My husband thinks his Dad who is over 6″3″ is tough in furniture, but he’s not even concerned about him sitting here over the holidays. LOL! I love my father-in-law!!
We are beginning to redo one of our bedroom’s for a BIG girl room for Gracie and I have my eye on a few desks they have. I would love to use one as her homework/art space. Gracie is a budding artist and dreamer just like her momma!
Here’s one I get my eye on:https://www.atgstores.com/desks/home-styles-5530-18-naples-pedestal-desk_g1203738.html
I have her whole room planned out in my room in my mind. It’ll be our next big project. I’m so excited to get started!
Thank you for checking out our new chair. Stay tuned for my next post it’ll be ALL Christmas…get ready!!🎄🎄🎄🎄
